Disgusting: Cowardly Liberal & NDP MPs Stand With Chinese Communist Party Rather Than Hong Kong, Vote Against Conservative Motion To Hold Hearings On China’s Assault Against Hong Kong’s Democracy

The cowards are being condemned by many.

Recently, the Conservative Party brought forward a common-sense motion.

The idea was for the Canada-China committee in the House of Commons to hold hearings on what’s happening in Hong Kong, as China breaks their word on the ‘One Country, Two Systems’ agreement and destroys Hong Kong’s democracy.

You would think that all parties would vote for that, especially since Canada claims to be a country that defends democracy and human rights.

Yet, while the Conservatives and Bloc did the right thing and voted Yes, the cowardly Liberals & NDP voted against it.

Instead of standing with Hong Kong, they are standing with the Chinese Communist Party.

And people have noticed:

“We strongly condemn these MPs’ decision to deny Hong Kong to be heard in the special committee on Canada-China relations. We ask for your support to email these leaders, to show them that the Canada Hong Kong community will hold them accountable.”

The Alliance Canada Hong Kong is asking for people to contact all the MPs who voted no.

Here’s what they said on their website:

Shame on you

你不配做我的國會議員

International Solidarity 2.0

我要做外國勢力 2.0

We strongly condemn these MPs’ decision to deny Hong Kong to be heard in the special committee on Canada-China relations. We ask for your support to email these leaders, to show them that the Canada Hong Kong community will hold them accountable.

這些國會議員反對將香港議題帶進加中關係委員會,我們對此予以強烈譴責。我們懇請你以電郵聯絡這些議員,告知他們加拿大香港人不會就此罷休。

Alliance Canada Hong Kong also released an email template they want people to send to the cowards who voted no:

Hi XXXX,

We are horrified and disgusted by your decision to vote against the amendment proposed to make recommendations to assess the dire situation in Hong Kong and to reconvene the Canada-China special committee (CACN) virtually within a week.

Our friends and family are facing relentless persecution. Children are beaten and shot at on the streets, women are raped in custody, men are tortured and denied due process.

Hong Kong needs your urgent attention, and you heartlessly denied our chance to be heard.

The breach of an international contract is not a partisan issue, freedom of speech being taken away from Hong Kongers is not a partisan issue. How dare you use the livelihood of the millions in Hong Kong to further political agendas?

As a community member of the Alliance Canada Hong Kong (ACHK), I am ashamed to call you our political leaders.

You were supposed to speak up for the oppressed, not crush them.

<Your name here>

All Canadians should be standing with Hong Kong and all the brave freedom fighters who are under assault by the brutal Chinese Communist Party regime. Any politician in Canada who fails to recognize that is a gutless coward unworthy of representing our nation, and the Liberals & NDP should be ashamed of themselves for being such a disgrace to Canada and Canada’s values.
