BREAKING: Doug Ford Announces $5 Billion In Funding For Regional Transportation System Into GTA

“My whole political career I have been fighting for transit. I am announcing that we are putting $5 billion dollars into getting people moving and making sure we have proper transit across the GTA,” says Ford.

Ontario PC Leader and leading candidate for Premier Doug Ford has made a big policy announcement during the first Ontario leaders debate.

Ford made the announcement live in the debate, and it was then shared on Twitter:

“My whole political career I have been fighting for transit. I am announcing that we are putting $5 billion dollars into getting people moving and making sure we have proper transit across the GTA.”

So far, online polls show Andrea Horwath and Doug Ford getting the best ratings in the debate, with Kathleen Wynne far behind.

  1. Please folks, DON’T fall for Andrea Horwath NDP – she is like Wynne-d-bag and will make promises she knows she can’t keep in exchange for votes. I hope Doug is the real deal – I’m disappointed however with what has transpired with Allen, but time will tell I suppose.

  2. Well I hope to hell he raises taxes in the GTA to Pay for it, I don’t live in the GTA and sick of paying for it. Nothing ever gets done right in Eastern Ontario near Cornwall, Heck Cornwall has a small green belt on the water that the federal Government always owned and now They are planing on selling it off, Its a nice area with a bike path and you can do some rock fishing right in the city, but soon it will be someone’s back yard never to be used for the public ever again,.!! Pretty damn sad if you ask me.

  3. where is the money coming from?? Going to sue the liberals??
Ontario is broke! Canada is broke and soon we taxpayers are going to be BROKE!
