“We both want to do something, we both are going to do something, and we have developed a very special bond,” said Trump.
After a meeting that both Trump & Kim spoke about in positive terms, the two leaders sat down to sign what Trump called “a very comprehensive document.”
The document says both sides commit to work towards the full denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, in addition to the US providing security guarantees to North Korea. They also plan future meetings.
A video of Trump and Kim signing the document can be seen below:
“We had a historic meeting and decided to leave the past behind and we are about to sign a historic document,” said Kim.
Trump also shared his thoughts:
“I think our whole relationship with North Korea and the Korean Peninsula is going to be a very much different situation than it has in the past. We both want to do something, we both are going to do something, and we have developed a very special bond,” said Trump. “This is going to lead to more and more and more.”
