Bernier Slams United Nations As “A Useless Joke”

It’s great to see a Canadian politician call out the United Nations for the sad and corrupt organization it has become.

Maxime Bernier is calling out the United Nations, slamming them on Twitter:

“The UN is a useless joke. Justin Trudeau keeps wasting Canadian taxpayers money abroad trying to get his seat at the UN Security Council. Instead, we should reassert our sovereignty and stop pretending that this corrupt international bureaucracy has any credibility.”

Bernier quoted a tweet from Hillel Neuer – the Executive Director of United Nations Watch – who pointed out the absolutely outrageous list of governments that are on the UN Human Rights Council:

Members of the UN Human Rights Council:

Afghanistan

Burundi

China

Cuba

Congo (DRC)

Iraq

Pakistan

Qatar

Saudi Arabia

Venezuela

Just elected yesterday to join in 2019:

Bangladesh

Cameroon

Eritrea

Somalia

It’s great to see Bernier ripping the corrupt UN, and it’s long overdue from any leader in Canada. The United Nations may have been a good organization at one time, but that time has long past, and now it just gives cover to the world’s worst regimes while robbing countries like Canada of our independence.

Canada should cut off all funding to the UN, stop giving foreign aid, and look after the people who are actually within our borders.

I have to agree with Max. The United Nations is CORRUPT and has NO Business telling Countries what to do. The real IDIOT who agrees with this CORRUPT Organization would be a complete MORON! I hope that Canada distances itself from this Devious, Corrupt Organization, and we DO NOT want a seat with an Organization of Dictators of every Country telling us what to do. Canada is Sovereign and this should NEVER be taken away from us! We are the BOSS of Canada!

Without coming out and saying so directly; and knowing of Trudeau’s aspirations to get a seat on the UN security council, this is Bernier’s way of saying indirectly, that Trudeau is a useless joke.

When you check the list of member countries on the UN Human Rights Council, couldn’t they have elected at least ONE Western country that actually has human rights? Each country on this list is either in the midst of a civil war or has a complete disregard for human rights. They couldn’t be more obvious in forming their own Cosa Nostra! What a JOKE!

I am going to agree with Maxime Bernier, thank you for seeing the UN for what it is, unfortunately now Andrew Scheer is supporting it, too, and of course Trudeau is totally in love with it. Canada is throwing money at it with both fists for Trudeau’s ambitions.

President Trump said it all in his speech at the UN, it is a plague but could be a good thing if not run by the dictators and human rights violators etc. We need more President Trumps/ Doug Fords common sense in the world, we don.t need more victims. Did you hear about the Francaphony group of 58 countries that we in Canada, and France pay for? Over half of these countries are dictatorships and the meetings are for the most part in English as most of these people do not speak French. Another huge waste of our tax dollars… Read more »

I must agree with Max. The UN is passรฉ. Trudeau is stuck there as a globalist puppet. The UN is Justinโ€™s failsafe if, pray to God, Canadians reject him with a landslide Conservative vote.

GO MAXIME!

The UN ! What a joke on humanity!

No doubt the Globalist idiots believe by including the worst offenders they will see the error of their ways and shamed into being nice.

Dream on Justin, we know you are looking for global adulation, and willing to purchase it with as many of our tax dollars as it takes.

A federal Canadian politician with real backbone has emerged. A politician FOR the people. Let us not lose our opportunity to make him Prime Minister in 2019!

The UN used to be an effective forum for resolving crises, like in the decades following WWII. Now it has become (in part) a prestige club for narcissists like Trudeau who like to give air-headed human rights speeches that he just wrote on the back of a napkin – the same sort of vapid talks he used to give while double-dipping as an MP, speeches also written on the back of a napkin, for which he was paid up to $20,000.

The man’s a con artist.

The majority of the UN’s membership is non-democratic. It has a history of corruption yet demands compliance from western democracies while ignoring blatant acts of violence by ideologies that would destroy the best of humanity. The UN has outgrown its position and must be replaced with a new international organization that would see democratic countries have equal voting rights, no vetoes. Non-democratic countries be given an associate membership to include their voice but not their vote. The organization would promote trade and collectively protect world populations from hunger, war and dictators that threaten their citizenry. The current regime does little… Read more »
