They kept denying something they weren’t asked to deny.
In Question Period, Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer and Opposition MPs repeatedly pressed the Trudeau Liberals for answers following the bombshell report alleging that the Trudeau PMO pressured the former Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould into interfering in the prosecution case against SNC-Lavalin.
And over and over again, the Trudeau Liberals dodged the questions.
They kept giving a variation of the same response Justin Trudeau gave – a carefully-parsed, legalistic answer that shows how scared the Liberals are.
They kept denying something that they weren’t asked to deny.
They denied ‘directing’ the Attorney General to interfere, yet never answered whether there was discussion of it or any other form of coercion.
And that speaks volumes.
What are the Liberals so afraid of?
Why are they sticking to such a careful, legalistic answer?
Why won’t they be open and transparent with Canadians?
This scandal isn’t going away. In fact, it’s just getting started.

Disturbing reports today of Justin Trudeau’s office interfering with a criminal prosecution. In #QP I asked clear questions on behalf of Canadians to get answers. This is starting to look like the beginning of a cover up and I will make every effort to hold him to account. pic.twitter.com/v4cz7ppyLf
