BREAKING: Ethics Commissioner To Investigate Justin Trudeau As PMO SNC-Lavalin Scandal Escalates

The scandal is not going away.

Mario Dion – Canada’s Federal Ethics Commissioner – is launching an investigation into the Trudeau PMO.

The request for an Ethics Commissioner Investigation was made by NDP MP’s Charlie Angus and Nathan Cullen, who wrote a letter to Dion requesting that he formally look into it.

According to reports, Dion has replied to the MPs, and told them that ‘he would investigate the prime minister personally for a possible contravention of Section 9 of the Conflict of Interest Act.’

Section 9 makes it clear that top government officials can’t try to influence other officials to ‘improperly further another person’s private interests.

This is clearly an escalation of the scandal.

The Trudeau PMO and their stooges have tried to throw Jody Wilson-Raybould under the bus and act like there’s nothing to see here, even as their shifting denials, evasions, and ‘explanations’ make them look like terrified fools.

Clearly, this isn’t going away, and Canadians are demanding answers.

The move by the Ethics Commissioner is a good step towards getting some accountability, but the pressure must be kept on as strongly as possible, so the Trudeau government can’t slime their way out of this.

The ethics commissioner will look into it? Just like the last time with Morneau and Trudeau and fond Trudeau Guilty and then….so what… move along, move along. Maybe the ethics commissioner should also look interfering with the RCMP and the Justice Department when Trudeau for months before the investigation was completed announced twice that Admiral Norman was being prosecuted !!??. Apparently Norman is at fault for delivering a retrofit supply ship on time and under budget but unfortunately the contract was awarded to Davie Shipbuilders and not to Justin’s Puppet master the Irving Family the owners of Irving Shipyards. The… Read more »

We shall see how that plays out since it was the Liberal gov’t who nominated Mr. Dion to take on the role of ethics commissioner.

Prediction: SNC will not answer to the courts; and the gov’ts rational will be that thousands of engineering jobs ( in JT’s riding ) will evaporate if SNC is convicted and denied Fed work for 10 yrs. In reality, if the work is there, other simlar firms would finally be given an opertunity to grow and secure Fed. infastructure contracts…the jobs would not vanish; only migrate. Remove your hand from a pail of water and see how fast the space it once occupied is replaced… SNC is not too big for a slap here; this is just another form of… Read more »

Either Gerald Butts or Kathie Telford will be told to fall on their knife for Justin. My money is on Kathie as she probably has less dirt on Trudeau than Butts does. Does anyone recall Kathie in that Trudeau wedding picture where the groomsmen as holding up Trudeau. Butts is there front and centre. He’s safe. If he goes down then Trudeau will go with him.

NDPs asked for a formal investigation. Wonder why it wasn’t a formal request from the Conservative party?

How about the RCMP instead, we know the ethics commissioner @Mary Dawson was as useless as @JustinTrudeau is in doing the right thing for Canada. Is @MarcoDion related to Stephane Dion? Asking for a friend.

Did the Globe and Mail ever release what unnamed sources this info came from? NO. Mario Dion being a LIEberal would he actually really look into this, shouldn’t this be looked at by some one who is not in this foreign government? This is not just another “mean nothing” it seems common unethical, small problem, if true? Maybe since this government runs, it seems, our judiciary, we need to have the Conservatives hire trustworthy to Canadians investigators and then if necessary, lawyers and judges, who are transparent and trustworthy and FOR Canada? This whole fake government has too many corrupt… Read more »

Who cares what the Ethics Commissioner dos’.It means diddly squat. This is a criminal matter, the RCMP should be doing the investigation. But this is the RCMP’s way out. They’ll say that there is another body doing an investigation(the Ethics Commissioner) so they will not get involved. Same old bull sh,t different day.

I will believe that there will be an investigation when I see this happening. Considering who all the principles are I still expect that this affair as well as the Norman affair will get swept under the rug.

Not much faith left in a system that is controlled by the Laurentian Elite for the benefit of the Laurentian Elite.

The Ethics Commissioner is as much a Liberal stooge as any other Liberal appointee, don’t expect anything more than obfuscation and a mild reprimand, if that by the EC. As log as Wilson-Raybould remains the good , silent Liberal team player she is, nothing can or will come of any investigation by anyone. Those summoned to an investigation have to be afraid of the authority of the party that summoned them to inflict real punishment, such as the power to question under oath, thereby charging a proven liar with perjury. The EC can muddle about for months on end and… Read more »

An Ethics Investigation would be as painful to millionaire Trudeau as the sound of snapping rubber gloves to a Dr. B4 he performs a Prostate exam on a man.

Swell. But let’s first question the ethics of the current Ethics Commissioner. Mario Dion was a Trudeau appointee, without opposition consultation, and is the man that was publicly rebuked by our recently deceased Auditor General, Michael Ferguson. And being a retired Montreal lawyer (a location and a profession not known for men of integrity), where do you think Mario Dion’s loyalties lie? The plot sickens ….

Trudeau’s affiliation with the Aga Khan should have been investigated too…..since the Khan had a major currency seizure against him at the US/Canada border back in 1989…….

What I find slightly disturbing, although not surprising is that the original story broke at the Globe and Mail, and was behind a Paywall. Subscription only, therefore the common people in the country did not and still do not have access to the Globe article. With an event of such significance in this country, you would think responsible journalistic license would make this public without the paywall. Clearly the Globe owners are more interested in their bottom line than the proper conduct of their elected servants. This is what 595 million will buy.

Turdo and his ilk…. Ethics commissioner investigation, check. RCMP investigation, check. CSIS investigation – let’s get that one rolling. There has to be a connection between the PMO and the American foundation fronting for the Rockefellers and others who fund the anti-Alberta effort to keep our oil landlocked and only available for export at a deep discount to the Texas refineries. If this nastiness can’t be resolved soon I most definitely would support assistance from China or Russia or even Iran on this matter. If Alberta were to leave Confederation the rest of Canada would not be able to afford… Read more »
