REAL CHANGE: Even If SNC-Lavalin Is Convicted In Court, Trudeau May Change The Rules To Let Them Keep Getting Big Federal Contracts

One set of rules for the elites and the powerful, another set of rules for the rest of us.

For a long-time, I’ve been saying that Justin Trudeau serves the elites and the well-connected corporations, instead of serving who he’s supposed to be serving: The Canadian People.

And now, that’s more clear than ever before.

Here’s an excerpt of a recent Globe & Mail article:

“The Trudeau government is considering changes to ethical procurement rules that stipulate how long a company can be banned from bidding on federal contracts, a revision of policy that one expert says could offer Montreal-based SNC-Lavalin another means of coping with the fraud and corruption charges it faces.

SNC-Lavalin, the Quebec engineering giant at the centre of the Wilson-Raybould affair, faces the charges stemming from an RCMP investigation into its business dealings in Libya. If convicted, it could be banned from bidding on federal contracts for 10 years.

Public Services and Procurement Canada is proposing granting itself more flexibility in deciding how long a company is banned from bidding when convicted.”

So, not only has the Trudeau PMO possibly intervened in an unethical way to influence the justice system in relation to SNC-Lavalin, but they may just change the rules to make a potential corruption conviction ‘no big deal.’

This will cause anger to explode across the nation.

Where was the special deal for Ontario autoworkers?

Where was the loophole for pipelines and the energy industry?

Why is it that Trudeau has apparently pulled out all the stops, and is apparently considering literally changing the rules for SNC-Lavalin, while workers and companies in other parts of Canada are abandoned?

If Trudeau was working for all Canadians, he would be fair. He would either help all sectors of the economy across the country, or help none of them and have total free market competition. Either approach would be fair and reasonable, since it would be the same across Canada.

But that’s not what’s happening.

Instead, we see that well-connected elites seem to get everything they want from Trudeau, while the rest of us are left to fend for ourselves.
