BREAKING: Toronto Police Report ‘Numerous Bomb Threats’ To Campuses

Will ‘evacuate where necessary’ say police.

Toronto Police are responding to “numerous bomb threats” around the city.

The threats were made against post-secondary campuses, according to police.

Here’s what the police said on Twitter:

“The @TorontoPolice Service is responding to numerous bomb threats to post-secondary campuses throughout the city. We’re investigating & working w/ schools to evacuate where necessary. Anyone who has received a threat or has info on the investigation is asked to call police. ^CdK”

Also on Twitter, Ryerson University said the Chang School is closed:

“IMPORTANT: The Chang School is closed for a police investigation. Community members are encouraged to go to the Podium building. Further details to come as they are available.”

They have since said the all-clear was given:

“Toronto Police Service has completed their investigation and given the all clear. The Chang School has re-opened.”

Toronto Police released a further update:

Update – 4 schools / 10 campuses involved. – first call to @torontopolice 8:54am
– threats all similar in nature
– these calls are taken very seriously

The campuses involved are OCAD University, George Brown College, Ryerson University, and Humber College.
