Former Ontario Health Minister David Caplan Has Died

Caplan, who served for over a decade in the Ontario Legislature, was just 54-years-old.

David Caplan, former Ontario Health Minister and former MPP for Don Valley East, has passed away at age 54.

Caplan was a member of the Ontario Legislature from 1997 to 2011.

He was expected to seek the federal Liberal nomination in the same riding he had represented provincially.

Ontario politicians shared their condolences on Twitter:

“I’m sad to learn that David Caplan passed away. Too young. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. I’m grateful to David for his years of service to our province and his community.”
