Is this a look of “pure defeat” as somebody called it on Twitter?
A photo of Justin Trudeau at a campaign rally is making the rounds on Twitter, with some pointing out that Trudeau looks ‘defeated’ in the picture:
“Liberal leader Justin Trudeau and his family at Collective Arts brewery in Hamilton – Centre. Sophie G-T is speaking at each whistlestop today.”

As @JessopWillard said on Twitter, Trudeau appears to have a look of “pure defeat” on his face:
“Take a look at his face. HE KNOWS ITS ALMOST OVER. That look is one of pure defeat. I saw the same look on Pierre’s face in at a rally in1979. It’s over.”

Of course, people are often tired during a campaign, and Trudeau may just be sleep deprived or caught at a bad moment. Still, with his poll numbers falling, the NDP and Bloc surging, and his hold on power slipping, it’s quite possible the prospect of defeat is slipping past the shell of Trudeau’s arrogance and self-deception.
