Canadians Michael Kovrig & Michael Spavor Have Been Held Hostage By China For A Year

As they languish in a Chinese prison, there is growing evidence that their mistreatment by China is causing a profound shift in the attitudes of the Canadian People towards the Communist State.

Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor, the two Canadians held hostage by Communist China, have now been in prison for over a year.

While Meng Wanzhou – CFO of Huawei – is being held by Canada, she is able to travel freely in Vancouver and split time between her multiple mansions in the city. She also has access to a lawyer and is able to publicly advocate for her position.

Meanwhile, Kovrig and Spavor have been held in near torture-like conditions, can’t access lawyers, can’t advocate for their position, and have no real rights in China’s corrupt Communist system.

Unfortunately, the weakness of Canada’s political and business elites has shown China that they can get away with mistreating our country without consequences.

However, the Canadian People are a different story. There is growing evidence that Canadians are turning against Communist China, and are no longer willing to put up with politicians who try to make ‘nice’ while ignoring the plight of our Citizens held hostage.

Winnipeg Mayor Brian Bowman found that out the hard way, when he got a huge backlash for a fawning meeting with the same Chinese ambassador who had threatened Canada.

Canadians will need to keep pushing our corrupt and cowardly political class to do the right thing, decouple our country increasingly from China, and never let up until our citizens are freed.
