The U.S. Department of Justice and FBI bring 16 charges against the Communist China-controlled state entity.
The United States government is charging Huawei with racketeering.
Allegations against the company include Huawei misappropriating property, conspiracy, lying to federal investigators, obstructing an investigation, and even instituting “a bonus program to reward employees who obtained confidential information from competitors.”
The U.S. alleges Huawei violated confidentiality agreements, and stole intellectual property and trade secrets from six companies, allowing it to circumvent normal research and development. Then, Huawei lied to investigators when asked about it.
As if we need more evidence, you can see that Huawei cannot be trusted.
And given the strong action the U.S. is taking against the company, Canada must stand with our close democratic ally and block Huawei from our 5G networks.
