Report: Newfoundland Liberal Premier Dwight Ball Stepping Down

Ball and the Liberals lost their majority government in 2019.

Newfoundland & Labrador Premier Dwight Ball is stepping down.

In a surprise announcement, Ball announced that he would step down, holding the position until a new party leader is elected.

He says he’ll stay on as the representative for his constituency until the next provincial campaign.

Ball has been Premier since 2015, but he and the Liberals lost their majority in the 2019 campaign.

Very fishy. When politicos suddenly leave to “spend more time with their family” it usually means there is some huge monumental scandal about to hit them, or the government.
