The Environment Minister seems to be engaging in the kind of ‘misinformation’ the government claims to oppose.
Canadians need to realize how extremist and anti-Western the legacy press has become.
Nothing the media says can be interpreted without understanding that they expect the Conservatives to fulfill the role of ‘polite losers’ so that Trudeau remains in power and keeps giving them that sweet bailout money.
Most of the Canadian legacy media repeated Hamas’ false claims that Israel ‘bombed’ a hospital.
They can’t have it both ways.
While the old names of once-respected media institutions are still there, many of those who work for them are far different, and far more radical than ever before.
The closer the media gets to the government, the less Canadians will trust it.
They must be angling for some of that media bailout money.
There is no such thing as a ‘free press’ when the entire press is subsidized by the government.
Just imagine if it was the Conservatives doing this…
Media bias comes in obvious and less obvious forms.
Defeating the genocidal Axis required massive strategic bombing of cities, resulting in significant civilian casualties.
Every minute the Liberal government goes without clearly admitting that Hamas lied about Israel is another minute in which their rhetoric about standing with Israel looks more and more empty.
Hamas – an openly genocidal terrorist organization – is constantly treated as if it is somehow morally equivalent to Israel – a democratic state .
Many people don’t want to hear it, but in a world that is becoming rapidly more dangerous, Canada needs to freeze most spending aside from the military.
How is it that media organizations repeatedly believe propaganda from authoritarian states and terrorists at face value?
Whether due to naivety or outright anti-Semitism, the NDP is taking a position that would reward the most evil acts of terror.
Bill C-18 is a failed shakedown, and even those who pushed for it the most vehemently seem to be figuring it out.
Despite repeated warnings to the contrary, many legacy media outlets and the Liberals thought they could use government power to take extract money from successful tech companies.
Propping up media outlets by making them dependent on the government will further decrease public trust in the press.
By definition, media institutions being dependent upon politicians choosing to direct money their way defeats the purpose of the ‘free press.’
The Liberals are going crazy over this, showing their immense fear over losing control of the narrative.
Trudeau also called Elon Musk – who holds Canadian Citizenship – an “American billionaire” .
It’s an entirely fair label. Only those who want to posture as unbiased while relying upon government funding would object to it.
It’s always been about power and restricting our freedom of expression.
Are we supposed to believe that everyone except Trudeau is lying?
The government shouldn’t be picking ‘winners and losers’ in the media and content creation space.
The Conservative leader effectively pushed back against the Liberal narrative.
During the CPC leadership campaign, the press often tried to claim Poilievre was ‘unelectable.’
The Liberal Media has wasted no time doing Justin Trudeau’s bidding in an attempt to keep him in power.
Who could have possibly predicted this?
“Regulate them,” demands McKenna as authoritarian impulse grows among desperate Liberals.
Perhaps because calling it out makes it more difficult to hide.
The government has used the media to generate self-fulfilling-prophecies that enable them to expand their power.
A country that claims to be a democracy should never raise up the media above everyone else.
Given how the media bailout has turned the press into an extension of the government propaganda apparatus, why would the Liberals stop now?
Do you agree? Would you allow them to do that to you?
Rather than giving in to the narratives of the pro-Trudeau establishment press, the Poilievre campaign has the strength to push back.
This is why trust in the establishment media continues to collapse.
When public anger doesn’t fit the narrative, the establishment press pretends it doesn’t exist.
Those who benefit from the status quo want to keep things as they are.
